Sarah loves cooking. Today, she wants to make a cake. She gets out her recipe book and finds a recipe for a chocolate cake. She reads the recipe carefully and checks that she has all the ingredients. She needs flour, sugar, eggs, butter, milk, cocoa powder, baking powder and vanilla essence. She measures out the ingredients and puts them in a bowl. Then, she mixes everything together until it becomes a smooth mixture. She pours the mixture into a greased baking tin and puts it in the oven. She sets the timer for 30 minutes. While the cake is baking, she cleans up the kitchen. When the timer goes off, she takes the cake out of the oven and leaves it to cool. Once the cake is cool, she makes some chocolate icing by mixing icing sugar, cocoa powder and butter together. She spreads the icing over the cake and adds some sprinkles on top. The cake looks delicious! Sarah cuts a slice and tastes it. It's perfect! She decides to take the rest of the cake to share with her friends at work tomorrow.
